Requirements and rules
The requirements are a version of ‘Angry Birds’ on either Pc or Mac or iPad and honest scorekeeping during the day.
For the tournament, two versions of Angry Birds are allowed:
This free browser-version (use in Google Chrome for Mac or Windows)
Angry Birds HD for iPad (5 dollars)
The free version of Angry Birds in the App Store is not allowed in the tournament, since the levels are different from the other versions of the game.
Rules
- All participants can play levels 1-5 as a warmup.
- The accumulated score for levels 6-10 will be the final highscore for that participant. After each completed level, the participant (or a librarian) writes down the highscore for that level. This goes for all five levels, and after level 10 a library official will add the highscores of all five levels and calculate the final total highscore.
- It´s allowed to replay a level, but only if the participant does not succeed (runs out of birds). The maximum number of replays are 3 for each level. If the participant don’t succeed by then, the score for that level will be zero. To elaborate: No replays are allowed to optimize the hiscore on a particular level – if the participant completes the level, then this highscore must be recorded.
- You can use this formular to register the plays – or make your own.
- It´s up to each library how many times each participant can try all the 5 levels again and set a new highscore.
- At the end of the day a representative from the library will submit the best highscore of the day together with that participants name/address/email to Nordic Game Program. See below for info on registration.
- SUBMIT YOUR SCORES IN THIS FORMULAR (Click here). This must be no later than Sunday November 13th – otherwise the highscore will not count.
- If the top scores are identical, the winner will be chosen at random by Nordic Game Program.
- The Nordic winners will be announced November 14th on this blog and by direct email.
- We encourage you to give prizes to the best player of the day
Handy forms and registration

- Registration form to enter the Nordic Tournament – online form (only for library officials and onlyto submit the highest final highscore for the day)

Well… just to be sure:
Can you use 3 replays on every level, or just 3 replays for ALL of the 5 levels.
Just to be clear that everyone is following the same rules
Anyone who can followup on the question above?
I´ve corrected the rules, so 3 replays on every level is allowed, but only if you run out of birds. See above.

Is the paid App Store version for OS X not allowed?
I am submitting my library’s high scores, and I noticed that the maximum scores noted in the form are wrong! There were higher scores for the level at our library, they were legit, and you can find online videos of higher scores as well, for example at http://www.theater333.com/
